Whenever the holiday season arrives we always ask ourselves what kind of gifts we should give. Usually we end up giving things that people do not really want or use. So this time around why not give something they can actually use for example a gift basket. Gift baskets are usually expensive if you buy them already made, but they can be really inexpensive if you make them yourself. Usually the best kinds of gift baskets are themed ones, because it usually says to the recipient that you have taken time to make the gift. One of the easiest to make is a Mexican gift basket. Just put in some basic Mexican food staples like canned peppers, tacos, bottled salsa, tamales flour, Mexican cookies and many more. Buy a basket that looks really nice, put the stuff in and then wrap it in colored plastic. Stick in a card and then voila you have you made your first Mexican gift basket.

My husband loves to work in the garage on his “toys.” He has it all set up so that is perfect for hanging with his friends as they puzzle over the latest problem. Sometimes I think they spend more time socializing than working on their projects, but I’m just happy he’s happy. Of course when the guys are over, there’s a lot of beer drinking going on.
